A phenomenal experience and an unusual encounter that could be likened to a gathering for a world cup final was the spectacle at
the 2nd Night of Greater Works 2011.
Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo preached on the sermon titled, “The Power of the First Stone”.
His main text was from 1 Samuel 17:21-24, 40-45.
Prophetically, he declared that just as the “First Stone” that sent Goliath down was what made the greatest impact in the lives of
the Israelites, God is also raising us up as the “First Stone” to transform our generation.
He reiterated that in the fullest of one’s manifestation, the “giant” will fall and everything that has held us down will give way
to the purpose and plan of God for our lives.
“It’s time to excel. Great things come in small sizes. Your past is not your future. The barrier in your life is broken. You are
the First Stone. You will reach your target. You are earmarked for success. You are a fire starter”. He concluded.
Greater Works 2011 continues today for both the morning and evening sessions.
