 MESSAGE FROM DR. OTABIL

As the General Overseer, one of the key responsibilities I have is to be a shepherd and a guide to the churches and congregations under my care. To do that, I have to hear from God and know what He is saying to His flock and where He wants to take them.

Each year, in the month of July, our church has a Spiritual Emphasis Month. For thirty days we pray, fast and wait on the Lord. I use the Spiritual Emphasis Month primarily to seek God's guidance for the church, especially for the coming year. It is during this time that I settle on the theme for the New Year, which is still six months away.

We've had several themes in the past which have acted as guides for us as a church. In this season, time and year, I sense God calling on us to walk in righteousness in a more practical way and I believe He wants us to pursue PURITY in all we are and in all we do. Purity grants us access to God. Purity causes the everlasting doors and gates to open. Join us on this journey.

There are three areas of Purity that God wants us to emphasize:

1. Purity of Heart

2. Purity of Thoughts

3. Purity of Hands

I look forward to seeing you at 2012 Greater Works Conference.

SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS MONTH

Every year, the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) observes July as The ‘Spiritual Emphasis Month’ during which period members of the church all over the world fast, pray and also seek the face of the Lord concerning His will and purposes for their lives.

Every day during The Spiritual Emphasis Month, members of the church meet briefly to pray for nations, the church, families and their personal lives. It is also a time of transformation, renewal and empowerment for greater works in the lives of God’s people.

The Spiritual Emphasis Month is climaxed with the “Greater Works Conference” hosted by Dr. Mensa Otabil, General Overseer of ICGC.

This year’s Greater Works Conference will be held from Monday, 23rd July to Friday, 27th July 2012 at Christ Temple, Abossey Okai. Morning session: 9am-12noon. Evening session: 6.00pm - 9pm.

The Guest Speakers will be Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) in London, UK, Bishop Tudor Bismark, Founder of Jabula - New Life Ministries International in Harare, Zimbabwe and Bishop Mike Okwonkwo, Presiding Bishop of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM), Nigeria and the host, Dr. Mensa Otabil.

GREATER WORKS CONFERENCE

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father”. John 14:12

‘Greater Works’ is one of ICGC’s major annual conferences. For over a decade, it has grown to become a platform for a major spiritual and mental re-orientation for our generation.

Great insight and awesome revelations from the Word of God inspire, equip and challenge thousands of people from Ghana and across the world who attend ‘Greater Works’ every year to pursue whatever they set themselves to do or achieve.

Vibrant Praise and Worship sessions, inspiring song ministrations and elegant performances by the Dramatic Arts Ministry of the church during the Conference provide a wonderful atmosphere for experiencing the presence and power of God.

You are warmly welcome to Greater Works 2012 for a time of transformation, renewal and empowerment unto greater works to the glory of God.
