Scripture Reading:  1 John 1:1-2

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us.

Scripture for Reflection

John 1:1-7

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.

Declaration

The name of the Lord is my fortress and strong tower. At the mention of His name, every resistance bows. Today, I boldly declare that I am justified, empowered, and made whole through Christ. I walk in His abundant blessing and overflow of grace, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
